Greg Hirsch has been a practicing Certified Public Accountant for over 36 years having graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia, J. M. Tull School of Accounting in 1986.  He joined Hirsch, Asher, Taylor, LLC in 1987 as a staff accountant.  In 1989, Greg partnered with his father, Bernard Hirsch, and the firm transitioned to Hirsch & Company.  After the passing of his father, Greg partnered with Jeff Tucker to form Hirsch & Tucker in 2000.

Greg’s professional and civic affiliations include: American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA), Westside Urban Health – Former Board of Directors and Finance Committee Member (5-year term), Savannah Metropolitan Planning Commission – Former Zoning Board of Appeals Committee Member, Congregation B’nai B’rith Jacob – Past President and Lifetime Trustee – Board of Trustees; Past Treasurer; Past Brotherhood Treasurer (15-year term); Various Committees, Savannah Jewish Federation – Past Allocations Committee Member, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) – Past Volunteer (an IRS initiative designed to support free tax preparation service for the underserved).

As a trusted financial counselor, Greg spends most of his time advising clients on complex income tax matters, tax planning, and providing guidance on daily business needs. From selecting the right entity structures for businesses, to creating strategies to reduce federal and state tax burdens, Greg helps clients achieve personal financial goals and increase the profitability of their businesses.

In his spare time, Greg enjoys fishing and spending time on Tybee Island with his wife, Judy, and their children – Jonathan, Sarah & Brian, and Lena. Friends and family find Greg’s fascination with and expertise in meteorology handy when storms are heading toward Savannah!
